SPECIAL EVENT: David Copperfield (10/25)

David Copperfield used to be on TV what seemed like all the time when we were kids. He performed these magic tricks - oops, "illusions" - where you'd go up to the TV screen, touch different cards, and he'd somehow know which one you picked. We were always kind of amazed that a man miles away could read our minds. Mom would bring us back to reality: "You're getting fingerprints on the TV screen."

Copperfield still puts on shows, live ones, and this week he performs twice at the Auditorium Theatre (885 E Main St). You can catch "An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion" on Sunday, October 25, at either 5:30 or 8:30 p.m. Audience participation, and the illusion of dreams becoming reality, are part of the evening's allure.
