The next Architecture for Lunch Tour takes place Friday, June 26 near the Eastman Theatre on Gibbs Street.
If you work downtown, you might take the occasional walk around the block, or make an espresso run during the day. At my old job, sometimes we'd go to the library on lunch, or sit on the ledge of the County office building and people-watch. But even if you live in the area, you don't necessarily pay a whole lot of attention to the buildings that surround you, much less the history contained within their walls. You can gain new appreciation for that history, as well as the architecture of downtown Rochester's buildings, at the Landmark Society's "Architecture for Lunch" tours. The next one takes place on Friday, June 26, 12:10-12:35 p.m. Meet up with the group at Eastman Place park, located opposite Eastman Theatre at East Main and Gibbs streets.
