THEATER: "Same Time, Next Year" (Through Jan 25)

By Dale Evans on January 7, 2009

There are many reasons why people meet annually - family and class reunions, conventions, holidays, etc. In "Same Time, Next Year" the motivation is a bit different. Two people, married to others, meet once a year to get it on, and in the meantime catch up on the past year's happenings. It's not a plug for adultery, but it doesn't put a damper on the idea, as the pair become uncommonly intimate over the years.

Blackfriars Theatre brings the romantic tete-a-tete to its stage at 28 Lawn Street Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. through January 25. Tickets cost $25. Call 454-1260 or visit blackfriars.org.
