At some point, most of us want to run off and join the circus. Not Roy Book Binder. After a few $5 guitar lessons he ran off with his teacher, the Reverend Gary Davis, on a gig to Chicago, and beyond. That's just the kind of story you'll hear when Book - it's his nickname, I'm allowed - brings his musical medicine show to town. This guy's the full banquet, mixing songs, stories from his ongoing verbal memoirs, amazing picking, and a Southern twang smooth as molasses that would never reveal that this boy's from Queens. Having shared the stage with such musical greats as Ray Charles, BB King, and Bonnie Raitt, he now shares his with you.
Roy Book Binder plays Friday, November 6, 8 p.m. at Harmony House, 58 E Main St, Webster. $17-$20. 328-3103, heartlandconcerts.org.

Around 7:55, someone got on the mic and said they were a little nervous that Roy wasn't there yet. At 8:30, they announced refunds. Is Roy Bookbinder the Li'l Wayne of music?

Steve, the word is Book thought the show was on Saturday night. I really don't know what to say about that.
