For roughly a decade in the late 60's and early 70's, the L.A.-based Grass Roots were one of the most dependable and accessible pop-rock bands on the charts, turning out jangly, hook-laden, and surprisingly complex hits like "Midnight Confessions" and "Temptation Eyes." The Grass Roots provided many rock fans - turned off by the grimy chauvinism of the Stones and Zeppelin, the trippy experiments of the Beatles, and the operatic bombast of The Who - with a grooving, thoughtful, romantic alternative. At the center of the band was bassist and singer Rob Grill, who still fronts the group to this day as it makes its rounds on the classic-rock and oldies circuits.

Saw the Grassroots 8/7/09 in Reno. My favorite band EVER. Rob Grill was inebriated and they sounded like crap

Saw the Grass Roots at Ocean Grove in NJ this past Saturday and they rocked the place!! Don't know what happened at your show Teri, but it might have been a fluke. Did you mistake Robs medical issues with inebriation?
