Four guitars plus eight hands equals a veritable orchestra when the Tantalus Quartet takes the stage. Their repertoire is eclectic in the best sense of the word, stretching from Brahms and Mozart, through folk strains, all the way to contemporary compositions. The common denominators are imaginative arrangements, percussive rhythms, and gorgeous tone. Not to mention a wonderful sense of four-part humor. The quartet's visit to Rochester will consist of a concert and workshop sponsored by the Rochester Guitar Club.
Tantalus Quartet plays Sunday, June 14, 3 p.m. at Wilmot Hall, Nazareth College, 4245 East Ave. $10. rochesterguitarclub.com.
