This is your last chance to hear the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra play in Eastman Theatre before major renovations. There are two works on the program. In "The Planets" by Gustav Holst, the orchestra shoots sparks, spins joy, and ignites terror in Mars, The Bringer of War. Music Director Christopher Seaman chose a smart and moving farewell to the venue. If you go, you'll see him and the players say good-bye in an unusual fashion.
The RPO performs Thursday and Saturday, May 21 & 23, 8 p.m. at the Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs St. $20-$56. 454-2100.
