BLUES/JAM: Dark Hollow (11/7)

Dark Hollow has the Grateful Dead written all over it. The band, of course, is named after the blues-inflected Dead song, and it was birthed from the remnants of a Dead tribute band in Syracuse in the mid-1990's. Just like its free-flowing, malleable music, Dark Hollow's lineup features a bunch of interchangeable musicians, many of whom have other bands they play for occasionally. When DH's members do come together, they're a classic jam band inspired by blues, folk, funk, country, and other roots music. Simply put, if you like the Dead, you'll probably like Dark Hollow.
