Between them, influential contemporary Christian musicians Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman have won eight Grammys, earned 85 Dove awards, and sold roughly 23 million albums, proving that Christian music can mean big bucks. But Smith and Chapman, who are now touring together for the first time on the United Tour, are also very earnest and dedicated to their principles, and they strike a chord with their listeners. Chapman, for example, has dedicated his latest music and tour to the memory of his daughter Maria, who died in an accident in May.
