Terell Stafford plays February 8 and 9 at the Penfield High School auditorium.
So enthusiastic were the fans at Montage Grille during the 2006 Rochester International Jazz Festival, they would hardly allow Terell Stafford to leave the stage. It's easy to see why Stafford is the trumpeter of choice for Benny Golson, Kenny Barron, and McCoy Tyner, who has called him, "one of the great players of our time." His crystal clear tone and inventive improvisations are sure to inspire students and audience members when he takes the stage at Penfield High. Stafford will play newly commissioned arrangements of tunes from his repertoire with a variety of student ensembles.
