Guitarist Karl Heberger - he who rocks in numerous bands under numerous noms d' twang - has no delusions about his first band, The Sluts. "The trio was absolutely awful in every way," he says. "Most punk bands suck, but we sucked at sucking." Formed in 2001, the band irreverently played virtually every style of music and released two albums, "Greatest Hits" and "Polished Turds," before calling it quits in 2003. Heberger promises this will be a one-time reunion show; no reminiscing or rehashing. "I expect to see all the hecklers I used to deal with when we were playing regularly. I'll try to come up with some new comebacks," he says.

I have long enjoyed Frank De Blase’s literary gems, but when I read “noms d’twang” I wanted a cigarette.
