Apostles of the Hidden Son might not bring the hippie juice, but be certain that you'll be in for a freak out. And what better way than with a Freak-Out Fest?
The trio of Rochester locals rocks with ferocious intensity, vocals and wailing guitar riding over distorted bass and Animal-like drumming (we're talking Animal from the Muppets). It's like Black Sabbath, Jack Bruce, and Howlin' Wolf riffing into oblivion.
Freak-Out Fest with Apostles of the Hidden Son comes to the Bug Jar, 219 Monroe Ave, 454-2966, on Wednesday, July 4, 9 p.m. $5-$7. 18+.
