"More to Love" finale: Tali wins!

Recommend Blog Post

Previously on "Fat Bachelor": A 300-lb. bachelor winnowed down 20 voluptuous women to his full-figured Final 2: Malissa and Tali. Along the way we lost some memorable ladies, from deranged Kristian to tragic Danielle to bitchface Lauren to awesome Anna. Honestly, I had concerns about both of the final two - Malissa has been repeatedly shown to be a calculating game-player, while Tali flew under the radar for the first half of the season and still seemed very guarded going into the finale. But one of them had to "win," if going home with Luke could be considered a prize. On to the episode that seemed to NEVER END.

This episode Luke brought the women to meet his family in California. Tali was first. Luke looked like he had actually put on more weight since the trip to Hawaii, although Tali looked amazing, and said all the right things. (The limos and fabulous dates are nice, but just relaxing with one another is what it's all about, she said.) The Jewish issue came up again, and maybe I'm just totally naïve, maybe I've just been around so many of the Chosen People so I never think about it anymore, but I feel like they're making a bigger deal out of this than it really is.

We got to meet Luke's father's family, his grandmother (totally adorable; reminded me of the grandma from the Beverly Hillbillies), his brother, and Luke's dad, Mike. Interestingly, Luke was much larger than the rest of his family. Tali totally charmed grandma (she had all the right answers, and seemed very genuine - and it needs to be said, she looked stunning). Luke's father kind of amped-up the whole Christian thing, with a prayer before dinner, and suggesting they have church right there. Tali handled it well, and again said everything right. I felt as though the producers were prompting Mike to really chip away at the religion issue. Luke pointed out that seriously, it's basically the same god anyway. The creation of unnecessary drama just made me more convinced that Tali was going to win the show.

Then Malissa showed up, and once again reiterated her desire to "win." Hm. Luke took her to shoot pool, and that bitch can play. Total pool shark. She said that she's "competitive and wants to win." Yeah, we got that in like Episode 2. The two of them bonded over their shared love of pepperoni pizza and beer. Who could have guessed that two different people could both love those two taste sensations? Shocking! Malissa was much more sunny and outgoing meeting the family than Tali was. Luke's father almost immediately took  a shine to Malissa. At dinner, Malissa blatantly admitted that she came on the show without any intention of actually finding love; she just wanted to do it for "the experience" (read: fame). That was pretty damning. Luke's father was totally smitten with her, and made no secret of his feelings. Luke's brother, to his credit, said that he didn't think the decision was that simple. Luke's father is kind of a jackass, and basically told Luke straight up that he needed to choose Malisa.

Total aside: I love Luke's grandmother. I found her totally endearing. She is widowed, and it made me wonder: if we can have a fat dating show, why not a senior-citizen dating show? I would watch that. I bet it would be sweet.

And then: Luke's mom, Faith, showed up, and she was SO CUTE! She reminded me of Diane Keaton. She looked a lot like him, actually. Malissa made a blatant full-court press, offering up her resume and pretty obviously kissing her ass. Luke's mom wasn't buying it. She was totally not buying Malissa's folksy charm. She was, however, impressed by Tali's story (moving from Israel, her drive in her career). In fact, anything Tali said Luke's mom responded well too, while she had a fairly negative reaction to Malissa's obvious attempts at currying favor. Luke's mother had no issue with the Jewish thing. Because she seems intelligent. So, duh.

After Luke's mom asked why the girls went on a show like this, Tali had a very thoughtful answer (not just about finding love, it's about changing people's perceptions), while Malissa said she basically did it on a whim, and actually referred to herself as a "main character." For someone so shrewd, she was making boneheaded comments left and right this episode.

Tali and Faith had a one-on-one and Tali spoke about her modeling aspirations (interesting, since that's what got Anna cut, it seemed to me), but the undercurrent was essentially Tali is self-reliant and understands the importance of taking care of yourself before you can be with anybody else. After doing her interview with Malissa, Faith said that she thinks Tali is "awesome," and that she would make an amazing wife for anyone, and would be a real asset for Luke. She was less effusive about Malissa. Specifically, she said NOTHING. It was actually kind of awesome, and very classy on her part.

Final dates: Tali basically told Luke that she would be willing to move to California for Luke, and that she would still pursue her career in California, just with a different trajectory. After a tense, but understandable, discussion about the Malissa sitation, the two of them made out, and admitted to one another that they loved one another. It was very sweet, I have to admit. Tali has walls up and I wish she was more vocal in the first half of the season (or that the producers had shown more of her), but she is quite likable. She's easy to root for.

For her final date, Malissa wore a strapless dress, and that was a bad decision.  TAN LINES! Malissa kept repeating that Luke has been such a gentleman the whole way. Um, 1. He was simultaneously dating 19 other women. 2. He was making out with you within 20 minutes of meeting you. How is that gentlemanly? Was he using church tongue? Malissa was much more down to business, even going so far as to say, "If you asked me to marry you, the answer is yes." Way to jump the gun there, blondie. Luke said that he could see himself being very happy with her, and I suspect he could - for at least a little while. Luke has been horned up for Malissa since she walked out of that limo, and I can't help but wonder if the two of didn't just get it over with, if they'd still be so into one another. Because he at least seemed to be oblivious to the disconcerting comments she has made the past few episodes. Luke said he felt her sincerity on a whole ‘nother level, and I will say that she seemed more sincere than she had been before, but still calculating.

After watching Luke getting out bed (too much, Fox, too much) we saw him and the gals prepare for the big day. Luke went shopping for engagement rings. Why would anyone even consider proposing marriage under circumstances like this? These people could not have known one another for more than a couple of weeks, AND they've never EVER been alone together. They've been on camera the whole time, and the guy has been dating multiple women at the same time. Yea gods. I just do not understand. For someone who claims to take marriage so seriously, he's treating this engagement awfully lightly.

Oh, here comes Emme! Can we all agree that she has been the most useless host ever on a reality TV show? She would basically show up once per episode to have the women put their rings in the bowl, and then after the ceremony, tell the losers to say goodbye. Why even bother having her? Why not just have Luke do confessionals?

Once the ladies were in their final gowns, Tali looked like a knockout, while Malissa looked way overly made-up (although her fuschia gown was lovely). Luke told Malissa that he considered her a fun and adventurous woman, and that their lives could be woven together easily. Probably true - again, for a little while. And then he came with the "but," and told her that his heart belongs to somebody else. Malissa looked pissed. She said, "Everything felt so right, I just can't believe it was so wrong." And that really must suck. Seriously. I would note that she didn't shed a single tear in Luke's presence. Make of that what you will. Even in the limo ride home, she seemed more annoyed than legitimately sad. "What made her better than me?" she asked. That's a really telling statement. All that said, I felt bad for Malissa. I think she got wrapped up in the game, but I don't think she's a bad person or anything.

After dismissing Malissa, Luke spoke rapturously about Tali and how deeply he was in love with her. I'm glad for the decision, but I wish the show had showed us their connection earlier in the season, because it still seems somewhat out-of-left-field for me. Tali looked absolutely amazing in her floral-print gown. It was flowy, flattering, and she was just...wow. After doing some torture with the whole "we're from two different worlds" crap, Luke finally got down on one knee and asked Tali to be his wife. And she said yes! It was very romantic, and I'm genuinely happy for them, but--marriage?! Come on guys, try dating first.

Anyway, enough on that. A happy ending. I like Tali, she seems like a wonderful woman, I actually have more concerns about Luke than I do her, but we'll see what happens for the two of them.

I was seriously hoping for a reunion special - "More to Love: Chewing the Fat," perhaps - but it looks like it's not to be. Ah, well. I want a "Fatchelorette" with either Anna or Bonnie. They were awesome.

I hope we see how it works out with Tali, this girl is in love with herself and has been from the beginning, sulking, pouting and bratting through every episode. Malissa was by far the more genuine girl, and he let the real prize get away. Too bad Luke.

i was very happy with his decision, though the show overall, pretty sad. but thank goodness he made the right choice out of those 2. i was pretty sure when i saw the last date. he made the same faces, was equally quiet, did the dame thing with his mouth on his date with gal #3. so then i was pretty sure Tali would get the respect she deserved. thank god for his Mom, just generally!

Great review. Neat to see it come out only a few minutes after it finished on the east coast. In the end, it was Luke's mother's advice that she would be a great partner in business as well as life that Luke mentioned as the deciding factor. I think this is true since Tali is already an entrepreneur herself and must have a 180 IQ.

I felt the same way about Malissa! She was conniving and obvious and could have at least toned it down to have a moe realistic chance at pulling it off! Tali seemed more real and had truly chased her dreams across the Atlantic. That was impressive about her walking in heels for 9 hours in NYC her first moments off the plane. What a driven and unique woman.

I am so very happy they ended the show that way. It definitely made good TV. Whether or not they are still going strong and it was a true, real relationship...remains to be seen. I'm sure the producers spinned the entire thing so we really don't know exactly what went on between him and any of the girls from the very beginning....but it's really fun trying to guess! =)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who saw it this way.

Tali was sincere and genuine. Malissa was there for the reason she said, on a whim. I also think Malissa said things that she thought Luke wanted to hear. I do think it was WAY to premature to ask someone to marry you but maybe that was part of the show. Engagements can last a long time and we are not them, hopefully they will date in a "real" setting. They're both pretty women(personally I think Tali has a "look") Tali is definitely not cookie cutter. I hope all goes well. If you guys read this, good luck!

All of you who are saying nasty things about overweight people should be ashamed of yourselves... I hope you have wt issues one day and can walk in those shoes... Tali was REAL.... So was Mandy.. I hope whatever you all have wrong with you that someone one day points it out and you know how it is to be talked about or picked on for not looking perfect. Most perfect people are selfish and ugly on the inside. Didn't ya'lls parents teach you to be nice..... NOT as it seems... ALL of you get a life. They represented what most folks in America are.... overwt!!!! and definatly not perfect!!!

Malissa is not a sincere person. I believe that Luke was convinced of Tali's genuineness in episode 7 when she allowed herself to so intimately trust Luke to snorkel and overcome fear of the ocean. I could see Tali and Luke, during that time, walking through childbirth together. Tali and Luke bonded then. Tali is beautiful and intelligent and much less self-absorbed than Malissa. I'm just soooo happy that b**** Lauren didn't make it to the end!

Was it just me or did Luke's mom look like Mandy that was booted off the episode before the finale?? I couldn't figure out why Luke had kept her around, she was whiny and insecure... now I know why.

And Tali was obviously the better choice. Definitely more genuine.

Interesting show and I think he definitely picked the right girl. Can't believe people are on about the Green Card thing though. I am from the UK and married an American after I came here. It's not easy being from two different countries (even countries that have so much in common as the UK and the US). There are differences you don't expect. And the immigration thing is a whole different ball game. It's #1 not fun and #2 not easy. It puts mega strains on even the most genuine of relationships so if that's something Luke and Tali go through, good luck to them and I hope their families are supportive. Congrats to them overcoming the issue of religion as well. Again, speaking from personal experience, it's difficult sometimes but it's very interesting and exciting to share a new culture with your kids. Good luck to them on that one too. I only watched the last three episodes but I think he definitely picked the right girl.

I've been a fan of Tali since the first show. Yes, she flew under the radar, but she never once faltered in her polish, intelligence and loveliness. She's simply stunning, and the one woman in the group who had the most class. Luke chose the right girl, and he's a better man than any of The Bachelors. I wish the producers had done a follow-up to let us know how they're doing.

If he is so interested in having children, it would have been much more responsible if he picked the girl that was not going to get kicked out of the country as soon as we win the war over there. If she raises them to be Taliban, they will not get to stay in America and then maybe he will wish Malissa would take him back.

Man when Luke was looking into Malissa's eyes, he had goose bumps. You could tell. Malissa was a better pick for him. I really don't think Tali has it together like Malissa. I didn't like Tali's response to his question about moving to California.
She sounded like she'd do it his way and then get her way eventually. Don't seen them as a couple at all. It was that foreign sultry look that got Luke.

Thank GOD Tali won! She was much more mature and a classic beauty and would make a wonderful mother/wife. They say in life you must do/have something for yourself before you can share with others. Malissa probably had money riding on this win. How ingenuine for Malissa not to cry. The emotion Tali expressed when she thought for a brief moment that Luke was not going to choose her told all this viewer needed to know, she really loves him.

I watched this show from the beginning, mostly because I'm from Santa Maria, but then I got hooked on it. I'm so happy for Luke and Tali. I was a little nervous for him thinking he may choose Melissa, because I think it was more of a competition for her than actually falling in love. Tali on the other hand, looked at Luke with such love in her eyes. Wooo Hooo, I was crying at the end. Great ending. Good luck to both of them. Tali is beautiful.

Tali is the best one for Luke. It was apparent (especially at the end when Malissa didn't cry) Malissa was ONLY in it to WIN it. Love was not on her agenda and she said so. I think Luke and Tali make a great couple and their kids are going to be GORGEOUS! She's a down to earth person and it's obvious you get what you see. Good luck to the happy couple.

The tone of your article is really pathetic. People are constantly ranting and railing about the terrible, unhealthy images our media puts out. Then when someone creates a show depicting something other than size 2, 6 ft tall models, people like you make degrading comments about the show and the people in it in an effort to be "funny". And how many people making rude comments on this thread are fat or overweight by Hollywood standards? There were plenty of entertaining personalities and scenarios on this show to make fun of but, instead, you can't rise above the fat jokes. As I watched this show I found my perception of beauty changing. So many of the women on this show were gorgeous. Luke became incredibly appealing. If more media presented diverse people as beautiful, the standards by which we judge would change. I happen to be very involved in work with fitness competitors. These women are some of the leanest, most in shape people in the world. Yet, even they feel the pressure to be thinner and many of them take crazy drugs to achieve the unattainable perfect standard we're all buying into. Reality shows are fun to make fun of - it's a given. But it's people like you contribute to the ridiculous beauty standards we're all supposed to live up to. I wonder, how big are you? FYI, if you're above a size six, you're "fat" too!

luigi said on Sep. 16, 2009 at 2:25am

Wake up, everyone. Look behind the camera. The producers had to have lots of pros and cons on film for both gals, to edit and persuade us depending on whichever girl Luke chose. Clearly it was edited to make us root for Tali because of her sincerity, intelligence, and kindness as opposed to clips of Malissa's ambitious, superficial self. From what we were shown, I'd pick Tali, too. Her intelligence and character has always looked good. And boy, can she dress! Of all 20 girls, only Kristian could be boo-hooing tonight...if she's really as floozy as they made her look.

User Photo

lmch said on Sep. 16, 2009 at 2:46am

The week Kristian went home, Tali pulled Luke aside and said something like, "I'm developing feelings for the man that she loves - I should go." Classy woman. She didn't want to tread on another woman's relationship. Of course, Luke wasn't interested in Kristian so it didn't matter, but that's when I knew Tali was awesome!

FYI to those of you saying Tali just wants the green card. You are ignorant and have very short attentions spans. (1) Tali stated that she has been in the country working for 4 years and (2) she would have had to have at minimum a green card to do this show -- you do not go on national TV if you are afraid of the INS.

I thought Mandy would make it, but it wasn't to be...
When I saw Lukes family I understood the two final choices and why they are so very different.
Father = Mallissa...I had a sense of good ol' u s of a from him, I don't want to say white trash but definately a level to be coming from not a level to be aspiring to be. Mallissa would have been the choice if you wanted to stay middle class, I don't ever see her as anything better. I felt she was definately in it to win it and children wouldn't have been high on her priority list...she has quite a bit of growing up to do...
Mother = Tali...I had a sense of class all the way. If Luke wanted a wife to be an asset to his career and the level he aspires to, Tali was the choice, she is confident, beautiful, smart and can definately hold her own. She knows what commitment means and the value of a persons word. She seems very genuine.
For Mallissa who whined what does she have that I don't ..... growth, perception, inner as well as outer beauty and above all... class. It is also a lesson for Lauren who filled the shoes of the shows bitch quite nicely.
I would be interested to see if the morning shows have them on for follow-up or an "after the rose epiode". I would like to know how they are doing now or in the future.
I for one, hope they make it and have a wonderful life.

I think this was a wonderful show. It helped to empower many women on the show and I think off the show too. Luke is a very wise man for 26 years of age-- very perceptive and and kind. I think he definitely picked the right woman for him. I think Tali really loves him and I think she will make a wonderful life partner. Thank you for this show. I hope you will continue "More to Love" shows. It is one of the most significant programs produced this year.

Kudos to Luke's mom, Faith. It was great to meet her, and Luke was exactly right in his description of her. That he has such insight about his mom gave me hope that he would make the decision he in fact made. I don't want to suggest that Luke made his decision because it was the one his mother wanted. I am saying that if he has that kind of insight about his mother, he likely has great insight about people in general. Luke's choic of Tali confirmed for me what I had come to believe about him: he has spiritual, intellectual, and emotional depth. Tali has those qualities in equal measure to Luke. She and Luke have the potential to bring out the best of each other. They have the qualities needed to work through any problems and to grow individually and closer together as a result. This is one show that I am glad I watched. Meeting Faith alone made watching worth it. I wish people like her were the "rule" instead of the exception. And I share with those women who fell for Luke the thought that he is a rare and wonderful man, someone deserving of a full and fulfilling life. He found his female counterpart in Tali, whose outward beauty (yes, she is stunning) comes in second only to her inner beauty. Whether the two actually continue as a couple (though I hope they do!) is irrelevant to my wishing for them both all the best and "sweet things they can find."

I loved the finale and was thrilled when Luke picked Tali! She seemed the obvious choice with her maturity, calm demeanor and actual love for Luke. (Not to mention- she is beautiful!) Malissa was in it to win it, and that irked me from the start. Both Luke and his father are boob-men, that's obvious- but luckily Luke ISN'T a boob- he was smart enough to see through Malissa's scheming and pick a good woman. I was rather teed off by his Father and Grandmother's prejudice against Tali because she's Jewish. Luke's father was so obviously anti-Jewish, that I almost couldn't stand it. (for the record, I'm Christian, not Jewish- not that it matters for my point) It appeared Luke's mother was divorced from the father and I can see why, he's a biggoted idiot. Overall, it was a great show but I agree with many others- they should date for a while away from the show and see what happens- marriage is a lifelong committment!

Malissa got what she deserved! For someone to play pool like that she must have been in a million pool halls...tells me a little something about her right there. Also...no babysitting her own family members? I thought for sure he would have dumped her that show! The worst thing Malissa did was to tell Tali she had it in the bag after meeting Luke's Dad...cruel..on that alone I am so glad he chose Tali. She only has gained the weight in the last few yrs. and told luke he was the biggest guy she ever dated. She just wanted to win and if she ever lost weight...she would dump him in my opinion. Narcistic personality is only the tip of the iceberg for this one..She needed to be put in her place and i am not sorry for her at all. I find most girls that think they are all that...aren't...no boooo hooo hoooo for u malissa! lol!

GO TALI!! From the beginning, Malissa said she was going to win. She was being too confident in winning. That's just tells you that being Cocky doesn't always get you what you want. There was no emotion when Luke didn't pick her. If she was IN LOVE with him, there should of been tears in front of him. Maybe she was too worried about ruining that beautiful make-up. Overall I think most of us are glad Luke chose Tali. Opposites do attract, in this situation its their backgrounds!

I was so glad to see Luke picked Talli, actually anyone would have been better than Melissa, she was only in it to win it and not for love. Good luck Luke and Talli!

it was a no brainer, after the focus was more on tali, that she would be picked. easily the smartest and prettiest woman. what i'm wondering is how someone with her sophistication could be so attracted to little boy luke. she seems so quintessentially new york. i can't see them marrying. i think she'll come to her senses now that the show's over.

1. Tali is Jewish and her parents are probably orthodox (i.e., serious) Jewish. Having a Christian husband is not going to be accepted by her family under any circumstances. Her own uncle told Luke of the problems in such a relationship ( dont' forget, her Jewish aunt and Christian husband are the only family members in America - sounds like they were exiled, huh?) and it doesn't matter how nice/good/intelligent the potential Christian husband is. This is a convenient reason for the later break-up which WILL occur between Tali and Luke - just wait to see the news released in about 3 months.

2. Malissa was definitely the more compatible of the two remaining girls but that compatibility was only that of a short-term convenient girlfriend/bed mate (in reality, that is her fate with Luke in any situation and ---- what is up with the matching scars on each side of her face -- from some sort of gang initiation???). Her background (waitress, lowly upbringing, pool shark, etc.) did not lend itself to the type of wife that Luke is looking for. His mother appeared cultured and intelligent - Malissa will not make the cut for his mother.

But it was strange to note that, even after all Luke going on and on about how important family was to him and how having family around was so important, he chooses the only two contestants (and that is what they were) whose family didn't show up?

Mandy or even the Anna were better matches in those areas (their parents were lovely people) and he chose to remove them from the mix. The reason he removed them was that they were sincere, they were looking for love, they were right in their background, and they couldn't be so easily explained if a break-up occurred - which again WILL occur.

So, sad to say, Luke let many other girls go that were much better matches for him. In this particular show, he was looking for the best girl to have a good reason to let go so he wouldn't look so bad.

When Tali's family doesn't accept him (and they won't and he won't convert to the Jewish religion and she won't convert to a Christian religion), then the break-up will be reported as "irreconcilable difference" and therefore, Luke gets to keep his reputation as a "good guy".

Luke will probably end up with an old girlfriend who just happens to see the show, be available and who decides that Luke wasn't so bad a catch even at 300 lbs.!

When Tali said something seemed out of place with her perceptions of Luke until she met his mom, she must have meant "Class" -- because Luke's dad had none. His frothing at the mouth for Malissa was just plain creepy. But who am I to judge, maybe he and Malissa can hook up now that Luke dumped her -- they'd make a good match. As for the pool hall scene, that was incredibly edited to make it look like Malissa made shot after shot - because Malissa was shooting solids and stripes randomly.
I just wanted to point out, that Malissa didn't JUST say, "If you asked me to marry you, the answer is yes." She said the answer is, "yes, yes a thousand times, yes."
Sound familiar? At least when Jane Austen scripted drama for her characters, they waited for the actual proposal.

WOW what a terrific show and what a great ending. I hoped Luke would see right through that fake Malissa and her tackyness, she had no class what so ever. Tali was such a beautiful confident woman who as Luke's mom said would make a wonderful wife for any man especially her son. Best wishes to Luke and Tali and may GOD Bless your marriage and bring you everything in life you so wonderfully deserve (each other, happiness, and beautiful kids!!)

I don't see Luke and Tali having a lasting relationship. I think Luke's attraction to her is due to seeing her as a challenge (she's exotic, mysterious and guarded). It's been difficult for him to get to know her. I'm curious to know more about her background and he should be too. Why did she leave her family in Israel to come here? If this was answered in the show I missed it. Also, how close is she to her family in Israel? Does she really believe that they will be accepting of Luke? He's got to face the reality that they are two very different people with very different backgrounds and as much as he's trying to deny it this will pose problems for them having a future together. I never felt that either he or Tali really gave a good answer regarding how they are going to make things work particularly with regards to raising children of both faiths. Also, his already fearing that he may come to regret his choice and start seeing Malissa's face everywhere is not a good sign.

I thing the big bomb for Malissa was when her sister said she never babysat for her sister;s children--never! Yet she said when it was her own kids it would be different. I think Luke saw through her at that moment (and I did too)

User Photo

Crystal said on Sep. 16, 2009 at 12:51pm

I think you have misinterpreted the reason why she has never babysat for her sister. I don't believe that it is because she doesn't like children. As someone who helped raise my siblings I think I have an insight into where she's coming from. Taking care of / helping to raise the children of someone else, even if the person is a family member, is very different from raising your own children. Also, I can easily see that her sister would be the type to take advantage of free babysitting from family members.

As an Israeli, Tali will have no trouble with Immigration or becoming a U.S. citizen. Tali is beautiful, classy, courageous and goal-oriented - there is no question in my mind about who was the better woman. I pretty much knew it would be Tali when Luke talked about how the woman of his choice "makes me a better man." He's not so dumb, is he? No, not whatsoever. Good luck, Tali and Luke, and all the best.

And BTW, Luke's dad was a total asshat! The one thing that makes me feel sorry for Tali is that she will have to deal with HIM, if she and Luke do stay together.

Was I the only one to notice Luke proclaiming his LOVE to both these ladies on the last date!!! That is just NOT RIGHT!!! when you are planning to select one out of two, you just don't said "I love you" to both of them...
I am so tired of these shows, reality, I think not!!

It's surprising that no one realized last week that Tali so called 'won'. A part of her dress was visible when she received the engagement ring during the trailer for the finale. I believe that she's an exceptional classy lady, and she definitely was far superior to Malissa. Also, it was embarrassing when Malissa's sister made her comments -- what extremely poor judgment. It was as if she went on the show to cause destruction. I really hate to label people, but she was the perfect description of 'trailer trash' ! A final comment -- it's very difficult to watch someone passionately kissing and fondling so many women within a short period of time and then expressing his undying love to one person. I would really love to see a follow-up show to see how much of a future the two of them had together. I did, however, enjoy the show.

I am so happy for Luke and Tali. I think Tali was truly genuine than Malissa. Malissa was calculating and competitive. Malissa was all about winning the game and getting a man who is wealthy and can take care of her. Remember her sister was very revealing when she said Malissa never bab-sat her child. I'm not saying Malissa should keep her niece/nephew all the time, but at least on 1 or 2 times to help her sister.

Listen.....anyone who cannot see that Malissa was playing the game because she wanted to win..ESPECIALLY after the dinner with her sisters. The apple does not fall far from the tree and Malissa's, white blonde, tatooted, washed out, meth looking, trailer park, mean-eyed look DEFINITELY told the story!!!! She was even willing to sell Malissa down the river by telling Luke that Malissa had never babysat her 4 year old child! Why would she say that??? Seems like there are family problems -- definitely!!!! I think Tali has REAL class and I believe she and Luke deserve a chance at a happy life!!! Did you see the look on Faith's (Luke's Mother's) face when Luke asked her about Malissa? She TOTALLY clammed up!!!! And I totally discredit Luke's Dad's choice, he is SUCH a boob !!!! And.....dare I say, a racists? He was all over Tali about being Jewish and he was totally ready to embrace Malissa because she was "Christian." I think you might have to look long and hard for TRUE Christianity in Malissa's life!!!

O.K., so I think Luke made the right choice. The speeches were cheesy, really totally cheesy with Malissa AND with Tali, but it turned out good for Tali. I don't know how closely you can really get to know someone in 6 weeks (they said they taped it in THREE weeks) so to propose??? Kind of a long shot. Maybe it would be better to say "hey, of the 20 girls you are the one I would like to pursue a life with, so I would like to keep dating you and see where this goes." But I guess that doesn't work for ratings, huh?

And yes, I would like to see a "Bachlorette" site of this program and get a large woman there with 20 overweight guys!!! Why not? I would watch it!!!

In conclusion...as hopeless and ridiculous as it sounds....best of luck to Luke and Tali!!!

During every episode I would be pissed thinking Luke was going to pick Malissa. I hated her, she was so fake and scripted. Loved the episode when her sisters showed up, the real Malissa was hard to hide. When Tali and Luke started to connect and open up I could see everything change. The last date with Tali gave me goosebumps when they were confessing their love to each other. Luke's mother was so incredible. She knew exactly what was up. Congratulations to them both, they make a beautiful couple inside and out.

To babyd I suggest you turn off your TV and read a newspaper. Isreal is one of our allies and have no relations with the Taliban. In the future do some research, so you don't look so ignorant and stupid. Look up allies in the dictionary, if you do not know what that word means.
**If he is so interested in having children, it would have been much more responsible if he picked the girl that was not going to get kicked out of the country as soon as we win the war over there. If she raises them to be Taliban, they will not get to stay in America and then maybe he will wish Malissa would take him back.**

I enjoyed watching "More To Love". Some may say it is an exploitation of larger people. I say, it shows that just because your larger doesn't mean you can't be attractive and live a happy and successful life. And for the person who made the comment about his tv being broken, and all the women looked fat! Get a life, and a clue, we are all different and large or small or inbetween is not the issue, its how we treat each other isn't it?

Love, love, love, Tali! Luke is a really bright guy. He knew he desired Malissa but understood that he love Tali. Right choice. I really hope they have a reunion show and I would absolutely love their wedding to be on TV but that would be intrusive and what they have already is so sincere and sweet. LOVE LUKE & TALI - wishing you both the very very very best. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I was really offended by the way Malissa dressed! Did she ever try to cover up those cantaloupes?? No, they were always hangin out, yuck, no class. Tali was the perfect choice and I loved her, a classy, intelligent, woman. Good luck to Luke and Tali. What about a follow up in 6 or 8 months to see if they're still together??
