Riding the heat wave
The heat is on, but that's hardly an excuse to stay inside. Because even as those temps become more and more oppressive, Rochester becomes more and more alive. Practically every weekend (heck, even weekday) from Memorial Day to Labor Day is jam-packed with music, festivals, cultural events and more. How to navigate it all? That's where we come in.
In these pages you'll find our take on summer's staples, from how to keep the kids busy to where to find that perfect ice cream cone. You'll also find out about some things you might not have thought of, like strolling through the cemetery or hitting the road for an antiques binge.
If you still need more summer fun ideas as the weeks go by, be sure to check out City Newspaper, new every Wednesday, or head to our website at www.rochester-citynews.com. And whatever you do, don't forget the sunscreen.
